Albert Engel, Lawyer, Albert’s practice involves various aspects of Renewable Energy and Environmental law. Prior to joining Fogler, Rubinoff LLP, Albert articled and then practiced Environmental law at Ontario’s Ministry of the Environment (“MOE) for 8 years, where he gained extensive experience with the MOE’s approvals, compliance and enforcement regimes. While at the MOE Albert conducted over 100 prosecutions under Ontario Environmental statutes and the Mining Act, and represented Ministry clients on over 100 matters before the Environmental Review Tribunal and Divisions Court.

CCIM Presents Speaker on Environmental Site Assessment Tom Williams, XCG, Tom is a registered Professional engineer in Ontario, Albert & Manitoba and a partner with XCG who has been active in the field of environmental consulting and engineering for more than 20 years. His professional experience covers site assessment, remediation, and hydrogeology. Mr. Williams has been involved in hundreds of Phase I and II ESAs both as the site assessor and the peer reviewer. He has managed and coordinated a wide variety of site clean-ups using different technologies, including, low temperature thermal de-sorption of petroleum hydrocarbons & PAHs from soil, PCB-contaminated soil excavation and capping, metals contaminated soil excavation and secure containment, as well as free product oil pumping of gasoline impacted groundwater, Multi-Phase Extraction systems, soil vapour extraction systems, and in-situ chemical oxidation of chlorinated solvents.
